My cord is ripped in several places
My headphones work just fine but the cord is ripped in several places exposing the metal wires, Is there a possible solution for this or is it recommended to just buy a new pair. Thank you!

electrical tape wound around the rips. Any hardware store will have some. Take your headphones and show them to the sales person. They may be able to recommend a particular product. If the wires in the future happen to break, a new wire could possibly be installed or the old one(s) soldered together and then have "shrink wrap" tubing install around the connections rather than tape. You could also try using shrink wrap tape from the start too, if you can find a size that will slip over the headphone's jack and then allow itself to be shrunk down to an applicable size for a secure connection over the wires. Btw, shrink wrap tubing can be shrunk after installation with a hair dryer so no fancy equipment is needed to use it.
