3ds water damage - Black Touch screen but still responsive.
I lost my 3ds a few years ago a month after Christmas when my parents got it for me. I found said 3ds a few months ago in my cellar and me being the nieve dumbass I am forgot to dry it out before putting it on charge and trying it out.
I powered it on and everything was Fine apart from the lower screen and the cameras.
The cameras I don't really care about as I just want to play pokemon games. The lower screen was working but it looked like someone had put an orange filter over it. So I started to play my pokemon game on it. It was fine for around ten minutes and then all of a sudden the lower screen started to turn black.
Now it is completely black but still responsive and I can see the light behind it. Do I need just a new screen for it or is it going to be this way forever?

Might be an idea to open up the unit and do a visual inspection for such damage as corrosion, dirty contacts etc before considering any necessary future repairs. See the following advice about cleaning a device that has been subjected to liquid(s):

Yeah that's what I thought of doing and I've been up all night trying to get into it because the screws are stripped and I don't have any tools apart from a screwdriver and a rubber band
