Pre-soak setting causes water leak on Lady Kenmore Model 110.82692120

I have a washer machine (Lady Kenmore Model 110.82692120) that works fine on all settings except for pre-soak (and heavy soil?), which causes it to leak water on the floor. Otherwise the machine never leaks, not even a little. I also notice that I have to keep the fill level at max.

What parts should I check? Does anyone have a copy of this repair manual for this model 110.82692120 to share? I think the repair manual is called Repair Do-it-yourself Repair Manual 4313896. Maybe some one also has the professional service manual for this model.

What do you mean, "Have to keep the fill level at Max"?

How much does it leak?

I am not sure what happens but the previous owner said always keep the fill level set to max.

When in pre-soak it seems to leak about a gallon or two.

Maybe the two things are related.

Hi,

What happens if you set the water level to any other setting except max, does it overflow or not fill to the correct level?

Wondering if you have a faulty water level sensor switch or perhaps the water level hose has become disconnected from the switch.
