3DS wont turn on after turning up brightness

The 3D function wasn’t working previously the system would shut off. Turned up the brightness on the bottom screen from 1 to 3 and it wont longer turn on. System turns on for a second and makes a pooping sound then turns off.

Hate when electronic devices make "pooping" sounds! lol Turning up brightness draws more current from power supply/battery. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to open up unit for visual inspection. Look for bulging capacitors, cracked or cold solder joints, heat marks etc. Clean and reseat connectors, bulging battery etc.
