Smudges on Digitiser when replacing

Hi guys

Lately i have been refurbishing HTC Desire phones and when i get to cleaning the digitiser, the adhesive from the sides sometimes gets stuck on the display. I have tried many techniques (Special LCD cleaner, metho, wearing gloves etc.) but none work 100% or take about half an hour to clean the display with.

Is there any way to speed this process up? Also the digitiser are pre-smudged by the manufacturer (finger prints, adhesive etc.). At the moment it is taking me about an hour to do one phone.

I've achieved a decent level of success cleaning digitizers and LCD panels with rubbing/isopropyl alcohol and a lens cleaning cloth. Use a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the cloth, and rub the glass lightly.
