The Nintendo DS is Nintendo's seventh generation handheld game console and is the first of its kind across all systems with dual-screen technology and use, apart from clamshell Game & Watch systems.

Screws stuck in motherboard

I can’t remove the screws from the motherboard of the DS, and they’ve started to strip. Anybody have any tips that I can try? I’ve already attempted the rubber band technique, and it hasn’t worked out.

Hi Vishal

One trick I used to use when stripping small screws is to carve a straight line into the top and take it out with a flat-head screw driver. you can use any Dremel kit with a pointy bit to carve your line or just grind the top totally off. Here’s a cheap one from harbor freight tools:

Best of luck!
