My psp 1000 wont turn on

my psp 1000 wont turn on. i left it on charge over night . by morning i check it and doesnt turn on anymore.please help.thank you

Is the battery swelling? How long have you had that battery? Edit: does it turn on while plugged into the AC adapter with the battery out of it?
