This refrigerator has two evaporator fan motors and two evaporators. When the compressor is on and running, all fans should be too. When the door opens the fan for that section stops. The other components that control that fan are the temperature and defrost sensor. The most common issue is a failed evaporator fan. The bearings overheat after a few mints and this is only a 12vdc low amp motor, it shuts down.
To across this motor you can cause serious damage. Unplug the refrigerator. Remove all selves and drawers. The center bar has screws in top n bottom. Pop if the cover that hides the drew and remove the bar. The entire panel will come off easy, IF it isn’t frozen in place due to a failed defrost component. It just snaps into place sonif pulling on it doesn’t work it might be frozen. The ice will form behind the panel and Incase everything including the evaporator coil. You don’t want to pull and damage those expensive coils. Let the ice thaw for a day with the doors open. The part you need is that panel. It will have an evap motor and tempature sensor. It’s best to buy the complete panel. The old panel has insulation in and foil and will get damaged removing it. This makes it much easier to justunplug and plug in new panel.
