I'm sorry, the iPod Touch 3rd Gen front panel is not cross-compatible with the 4th Gen and vice-versa.

The 3rd gen. screen has a frame. The 4th gen. Touch has the LCD and touch screen glued together. Therefore a screen for 4th gen. is usually 4 times the price of 3rd gen.
