Cat chewed my power cable to headset!

Hi there, does anybody have a solution better than Sony's £175 repair fee?? I've only used the item a couple of times but the warranty does not cover accidental damage. Am devastated! Do I really need to buy a new one?? The cable is attached to the Headset which I think is the main issue. Can it still not be re wired??

On my PSVR2 I was able to get the wire out, it is removable. But finding a replacement and/or repairing is been challenging. I don't see an solution in sight. Heartbreaking im now searching for a new set.
