My home button not clicking after screen replacement.

Hello peoples,

I recently replaced my ipad pro screen and transferred the original home button to the new screen. Unfortunately the home button no longer has the soft “click” when i push down and the button no longer works( feels stuck). Is there any way to get that “click” back?

Did you make sure it was clicking before the laying the screen back down? The black bracket has to align almost perfectly so that the raised dots on the bracket and home button touch. That’s what gives give the click. If they are misaligned then it’ll either be jammed feeling or mushy.
