I have a ps4 slim with a bad motherboard and a ps4 slim with a bad blurray drive..can I swap motherboard or blurray from one to the other if they are the same model ?

The drive itself is synced to the motherboard. Personally I would try to replace the drive from the bad motherboard and put it into the good motherboard ps4 slim because if it in fact works it will be the easiest option. If this doesn’t work then you will have to swap the internals of the ps4 slim drive make sure you mark them so you don’t get confused. below is a greta teardown.

Ok but what if I buy a replacement drive will this sync with motherboard?
if you buy a replacement drive you will have to follow the last part of that guide to swap the internals. you have to keep the old framing of the disk drive so you can put the new internals into that.
My slim is not updating error su 421198-6 error..I was told it's a Blu Ray issue will a new drive fix this or new lens

The PS4 Slim motherboard is NOT paired to the Blu Ray drives.
