im trying to swap out just the mute switch with a different color switch and there is something stopping me from taking it off dont want to force it

You have the phone fully disassembled I assume? The mute switch is the same ribbon as the volume and power buttons, have you removed the board?

yes im swapping out the housing and they are different colors the switch and ribbon cable are fine im just having trouble taking out the current color switch (sorry if that doesnt make sense)
What's not coming out? you need to unscrew all the buttons and the ribbon is "taped" down
i already have the ribbon cable out and in the new housing. the new housing is red and my old was silver the plastic colored switch that you use to mute is silver and i have a red replacement when i try to take it out there is a metal clip thats stops me from taking it out i cant find a video anywhere showing how to
