Why can't I open the back cover?
I have a Huawei h1611 cell phone that I am trying to open the back cover to replace the battery.

I would take a look at the iFixit guide to start with. If you have a guitar pick handy that might help you get under the cover to start prying it off. Also, a little heat will help to loosen the adhesive.

Double stick tape under the cover may cause the cover not to pry off very easily.
The guide does talk about tape being used. As suggested, using some heat should help loosen this.
