DV6: blinking blue battery led or no led illumination at all. Replaced the battery - twice. Once with OEM, once with aftermarket. Same issue. Replaced the charger with OEM. Same problem. Dyson is just a crappy brand with crappy product.

Dyson sucks and their help centers https://support.dyson.co.nz/support/sv14... are not useful. Replacing filter and resetting Dyson and helped.

The lights while it is plugged in indicate that the battery is charging https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/tr...
The light while it is unplugged indicates the battery needs to be charged https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/tr...
If the battery indicates a full charge while plugged in but immediately goes dead while unplugged, the battery has failed and should be replaced.

It doesn’t suck. That’s the problem.
It do suck same here, stoped working and this is a second one in 2 years and the last one!
it doesnt suck that bad
If your battery is broken, it is thankfully very easy to replace!
You can order a very pricey battery from Dyson, or try this one which worked great for me from iFixit:
There are several guides here on iFixit that should help you install the battery, but it is very straight foward.

Dyson V11 Never been used. Fully charged the battery and will not turn on. It’s getting electricity because the information screen works.

My Dyson V8 Absolute is fried and shorted. It sparked and had a distinct smoke and burnt smell when i switched on the trigger. I opened it up today and still could not find the cause of the short. The motor windings are good and already taken out from the PCB. I am doubting the Mosfet M13C30 which I accidentally found online in youtube to be common fault for this particular model. I am unable to test it at the moment since it has a varnish coating and will try to remove it with acetone later to test if it is also shorted.
I tried poking on the capacitors and eventually removed a 35V 1500uF but it was good. I also tested the SMD R030 resistor and it showed 0.1-0.2 Ohms on my DMM which I am not sure if it is fine (i think it is probably okay as long as it is not open).
I also tested the 2 main terminals and could not verify that it is shorted. My DMM does not detect a short.
I want to buy a replacement motor assembly but hesitant to do it until i figured the cause of the fault of this simple board. The battery was also tested and found 24-25V output when triggered ON. I will try to clean the board with CRC cleaner and put it back and see if it works.
If it smokes then holy smokes I will buy a new motor assembly in Ali Express (probably taken out from other V8 but genuine).

Finally fixed my dyson. Found the culprit at the switch mechanism. The mains crimped wires touched each other, i dont know how but the insulation plastic housing in between literally melted. This caused the short and and smokes... i just removed the switch and insulated it with automotive high temp tape and she works like a charm.
I already did the hard part and didnt found a problem.. i should have started with the basic switch mechanism and thoroughly tested it with my dMM. I did it previously but was inconclusive maybe because there is only arcing due to the proximity of the 2 main wires.
I have even dismantled the board, removed the mosfet M13C30 and all capacitors and tested all including the motor windings. I almost purchased a new motor assembly in Ali Express and glad i didnt.

Same issue ... nothing about this LED sequence in Dyson manual but after I opened the battery I’ve found a dead cell so I replaced the battery ... I’m trying now a non genuine battery with 18650 cells inside ... much cheaper and easy to find
