Mac starts up the in two minutes sceen goes black.

iMac "Core Duo" 1.83 17-Inch...starts up fine, apple icon, music etc. then in about two minutes the screen goes black and shuts down. You have to wait about a hlf hour to restart then it goes off in two minutes

Mayer had one of these in his shop a few weeks ago and found a bad Capacitor on the backside of the motherboard. After replacing the Capacitor the machine boots and runs properly. It had the exact problem as your complaint.
