Is it possible to replace the motherboard without loosing all data?

Seems like my Moto Z2 force motherboard fried. It is possible replace it by a new one and keep the old internal storage? Otherwise I will lose all data inside it

If the motherboard is fried, there’s a good chance the chip containing the data is too. If you or someone you know is skilled enough to remove the chip off the fried board and install it on the new board then it’s possible. I just wouldnt be confident that it would work.

Too bad phones aren’t unlocked like a computer and you could just do a full image backup to an external drive. The day that is feasible will be a good one.

If your phone is not rooted, it’s not possible.
