New Screen and digitizer cable connections don't fit

Hello, i have ordered a new screen and digitizer for my surface pro 4 and the new cable connector end doesn’t fit into the old one on my unit. Everything else appears to be correct. this is the second one I have ordered from two different sources and both have had the same issue. Anyone else have this issue on a surface pro 4? Is there a solution?
