How to fix a cracked screen

I have an iPhone 6 phone. The phone has been dropped and has severe screen damage. Although the screen is damaged, the screen still works and the digitizer appears to be working.

I don’t know whether the ONLY the screen should get replaced or both screen and digitizer. Again, it appears the digitizer is ok and only the screen has been affected by the drop. I would like to repair it myself, if possible.

Easiest way to do this is to just replace the entire display assembly. Replacing the Digitizer only requires special equipment and skills.

Thanks for the response. You suggest I should replace the LCD screen and digitizer? Which is the whole assembly.

Yeah because it requires special tools and skills to replace just the digitizer.
