A1466 - How to identify the Logic Board

In looking to repair an Air, I have determined that somehow someway a liquid got inside the case. It does not charge at all. No green light.

Bought a new battery and installed it, but that did not solve the issue.

So … is this an I/O board issue? Was the logic board fried? How can I identify the specific model of the logic board or the laptop itself? One of the capacitors is marked as “4R7 433 5AM” below what I believe is the wireless card.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

Thanks. I did not look closely enough. That site is a great tool!

Now … time to determine how much this will cost me to repair :-)

The easiest method would be to look up the serial number on the back case of the laptop. Powerbook medic has a search tool for it.

What if the bottom case was not from the same unit but from another unit of the same model?

@livfe you sure? After all, you can identify which computer it is by what logic board it uses :-) but I was really focused on the original question "How to identify the Logic Board"

Hope all is well with you and that things are going good for you. Haven't seen you around much lately ;-)

@oldturkey03 All well, been around a lot on here recently, made a new guide etc.... My Q here was how to see if the serial of the board matched the one on the bottom case for example.... I know the board number :)
