My iPhone still waterproof?
I cracked the back of my IphoneXs max, wondering if it is still waterproof.
If not any solutions other than repair?

Let's be clear here...the iPhone XS Max is NOT waterproof; it is water resistant:
Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant3
Rated IP68 (maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes) under IEC standard 60529

A crack in the glass makes it that much less resistant so I would not assume it will handle the same conditions as originally spec'd.

I believe it depends on the severity of the crack. If it’s smashed pretty good, I would say no. If it’s a couple of lines, I would say it’s ok.
I dont know of any way to seal it and unfortunately the backs arent easily repairable.

that backs are just not repairable in genereal. the metal camera housing is one piece so there is no way to replace the glass. you would have to get a whole new rear housing.
Its not impossible. Lots of vids out there. Its just not an easy task.
if you want it to look good you need a whole new rear housing

I went to sell my IPhone Xs Max to a random store and they said it isnt waterproof. I bought it a few months ago and it has no scratches, no other damages, works very well, and looks same as new. My phone wasnt ever in contact with water then how did they say it isnt waterproof? A trick they used was to blew air from mouth inside phone and the air was coming from phone sides. what to do now?
