Hi @harvey1398 ,

Here’s a link to the service manual for your laptop, taken from this web page.

Scroll to p.34 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the display assembly.

Hopefully this is of some help.

It’s a fairly simple job. Here’s a video with a similar model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDD9C0-3...

But here are the steps:

  1. Unplug the LCD cable from the motherboard first for removal. This is the one located right above RAM on the top right.
  2. Remove the bezel from the front of the display assembly. It should just pop off, but be careful not to damage any of the clips securing it or you wont be able to put it back on.
  3. Once the bezel is off, unscrew the screws securing in the LCD screen. Be careful not to touch the screen inverter as you could damage the display.
  4. Lay the screen down on the keyboard and unplug the LCD cable.

Now it’s completely loose from the laptop and you just have to improvise a little bit and get the old cable out. Once it’s out, grab the replacement and put it in the laptop. From here just reverse the steps and remember to practice care when doing this as you don’t shock the motherboard. Touch something metal before grabbing any parts or components.

This may be a little off as the 7000 series is wide range of laptops with not a lot of documentation for each model. So if you have any questions feel free to ask.

There will be two metal strips on the side of the LCD holding it in place. Those metal strips on both sides will be screwed into the back cover of the display assembly. Unscrew those and the LCD will come loose. Be careful not to let the LCD fall once unscrewed.
