Ipad Air 2 touch ID not working after screen change

Hi all,

Changed the screen on a ipad air 2, which you need to remove the touch id home button & flex from the old/damaged screen to place on the new, but after doing so the touch id no longer works, I have double checked the connectors, flex etc and see no signs of any damage so not sure what else to check.

Have you tried it with the original screen to see if it works?

Unfortunately the most likely situation with this iPad is that the home button was damaged when it was removed from the original screen, and this cannot be repaired. If it does not work as a home button you can either replace it or use the 5 finger gestures.
