X in circle when attempting to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Hello!

Thank you for reading. I have a 2009 A1181, 150 GB Toshiba HDD that is working, I previously installed Windows on it.

I have attempted to install 10.8 through Hackintosh, it got about halfway when it told me that Installation could not finish, with an error code. The disc itself though still works.

I made a 10.6.3 USB with Apple media on it, and it goes through loading for 5 minutes or so, then gives me the X in the circle.

The HDD is working, the 2030 MB of RAM came from a working environment and is enough to install 10.6.3, I’m struggling to figure the problem.

Why did you try to Hackintosh it? It's already a Mac.

Hi

You are probably best to partition your drive at this point so that windows is a separate part of your disk, then I would try and install macOS through internet recovery on the other part of the disk(not the windows partition)

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)
