I am trying to access the motor on my IonFlex and cant get the cover off. I have removed what i though were all the screws but the portion nearest to the power button wont release and Im afraid i might break it. Has anyone take one completely apart that could provide some assistance.

I know this is a old question so you probably gave up and bought a new vacuum but where the lights are where it shows the carpet and floor and fan speeds its a sticker you peel and there is hidden screw there and then there will be a few more screws for you to take out from there. Also you will have to take out two screws where the top filter is and there are to clips on each side right next to handle above it where motor is located that you might have to put pressure on while pulling the cover up where the motor is. Unfortunately I had to break some parts to figure all this out. But was able to fix the vacuum so now I don’t have to buy a new one. This vacuum after having it for a while dust collects where the motor is and can mess with the circuits which is what happen to me. So I took Isopropyl Alcohol 99% and used a tooth brush and cleaned it and dried it then put battery back in before putting it back together and the vacuum was working perfectly fine again. Hope this really help’s anyone in the future so you don’t have to buy a new vacuum.
