What hose/part is this?

Can anyone help me identify these parts for my v8 jeep grand cherokee 1995? I found the end of this hose is cracked and exposing the opening to the part that it is connecting too (turret looking part).

The hose is connected to the air filter and the turret looking part is loose.

Symptoms are stalling, poor heater functioning, and idle issues.

Thanks in advance

@bryanking211

that is your PCV valve. all symptoms exact the heater issue can be related to this valve. The PCV valve will be loose to a point you can rotate it since it sits in a rubber seal.
