Vibration stopped after battery replacement

Hi guys,

I swapped out the battery in my wifes Huawei P9 last night but now the vibrate function has stopped working. From the reassembly video (How to reassemble Huawei P9 after whole teardown?) it looks like this is just a small button cell battery with connectors that sits underneath the main phone battery. Is it most likely a case of this having broken contact when I was reassembling? Don’t have the phone in front of me so can’t check until later :D

Hi,

after you check if there is no setting that is preventing the vibration you’ll need to reopen the phone.

The vibrator has to simple coper connectors that are pushed to their counterparts on the motherboard. clean these connectors and check the flex cable. Make sure (at reassembling) that these make a good connection. Peek under the motherboard a little.

After reassembling, test if the function works.

Btw, replacing the battery should not have an effect on the function of the vibrator.

Kind Regards, Brenda
