I’ve Used My iPad Mini 4 For About 1 1/2 Years now and one day i go to turn it on and i’m greeted to a thick white line on the side of the screen, i have heard i need a lcd replacement but is there any other way?

Probably not…however you don’t say if this iPad was ever repaired or dropped or come into contact with water so it’s hard to say for sure.
Realistically, you will need to replace the Screen assembly. Unfortunately the parts are very expensive so you may wan to consider having this looked at by a repair shop. If a new screen doesn’t solve the problem you will not have bought it for nothing.
