Repair for different sorts of record players, for recreation and music production.

Audio-Technica LP60 spinning either too fast or too slow

I replaced the belt with a brand new one but still happens. Any ideas?

@sunsetblow

check under the platter. There should be two holes (marked 33 and 45) Use a small flathead screwdriver to make some fine adjustments.

Of course, you also want to make sure that the belt is properly installed and not riding to high on the pulley.

Thanks for this response! Turns out I had the belt on the white post near the tone arm as well, instead of only on the brass one!

Chris, you just saved a Christmas present that we'd been having trouble with for three months! I love you

We bought one at a resale shop with no instructions. They also messed up the belt. The white post seems like an obvious place to put the belt. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for that tip! I found I wasn't able to adjust the speed screws until I used a tiny 1.4mm tip flathead screwdriver. Get the smallest eyeglasses screwdriver you have and that will likely work. Bigger screwdriver tips just spin and have no effect on the speed.
