anne Dawson  you did not tell us if anything happened to your phone prior to this. The vibrating is usually caused by your phone having failed its “self-check”. Most commonly it is a failed display issue. It is also possible that your phone has encountered problems with its software. You may need to reflash/update the firmware. Follow something like these instructions for that. Remember that with the update you will lose all data on your device
