My phone is “Searching “ and has message Handset out of range.
My phone screen says searching when I push button to make a call. When I push button to end call I get message Phone is out of range. Now when I try to call I get connecting flashing message cannot dial and when I push to turn off it says searching

Is the base station powered on?
Can you connect OK when the phone is right next to the base station?
