Ram upgrade 2018 touchbar MacBook Pro 15

I would like to get a video on to how to open my 2018 Touch Bar MacBook Pro 15”, I have bought it with 16 GB of RAM and have bought the 32 GB RAM cards would like a walkthrough please…

As for some weird reason I could not get the base cover to unhinge as easily as my MacBook Pro 2015-2016 retina model

Have been worried of breaking a chord or something if I could get some guidance…

You can even upgrade the RAM firstly? And if so a step by step guide would be amazing…

YouTube has no videos about it as yet BTW so you could be the first to break it!

You can’t upgrade the ram, ram hasn’t been upgradable on MacBook Pros since 2012. At this point you have no reason to be opening that computer, as you will be voiding your warranty on a brand new product, and there really isn’t anything you can do inside anyways.

Opening the computer will not void a warranty. Companies stating this are actually breaking the law.

ryanantovel - Be careful here! Different countries have different laws! While that's true in the US, others maybe very different.

All Touch Bar models have ZERO upgradability , not the RAM, not the SSD, no nothing.

If you have the correct RAM with BGA, circuit layout and find the particular resistor on logic board, maybe you can upgrade it.

Hello,

I read that welded is like, impossible to move.

Did anybody unweld RAM from motherboard to weld a larger one on it with a 10$ soldering iron?

Thank

The scale of shrinkage in micro-electronics has eclipsed our ability to fix them with the tools we once used as well as the skills.

Here you need a very expensive desoldering & soldering stations and the skills to use them and the other special tools.

Think of it this way do you want the plumber who fixes your toilet to fix the bleeder in your brain? Clearly the tools the plumber has won't work fixing the leaking blood vessel in your brain, yet alone the skills!

There is a way to do that… but you need to be very skilled.
