Maytag epic z model Mhwz600tk00
Will not finish cycle get error code f21 which indicates.... a drainage issue... taken apart drained, cleared coin catch removed hose and verified no other blockage. Still won’t pump out. Ran with pump removed from coin catch and motor spins fine. Also tried running with hose into tub instead of into drain directly. Maytag is no help
Any ideas?

The F21 error on this line of washers is the machines way of saying the water took to long to drain from the tub. This could be a problem with one of the washer parts including the drain pump itself, how the drain hose enters the stand pipe, or maybe even something is stuck somewhere in the drain system and is preventing the water from flowing properly. Not quite an emergency, but it is an indication of a problem and a problem that can lead to something bigger if not looked into.

So being that the hose has been visually inspected, as in removed straightened and determined there is no blockage. The motor does in fact spin and there is not restriction between the drum and coin catch what could be causing it to not drain. I feel like there is something strang. It is inoperable right now since it can’t drain for a rinse cycle or whatever
@thompson22 Eric Is this a new unit or set up or did it just start happening slowly or suddenly?
[I know this was discussed back in 2018 but I am currently having same issue and after cleaning the filter, drain hose, etc. I was warned of the below issue...
I cleaned washer with vinegar (without clothes), then again with only water]
The F21 error code SOMETIMES alerts to indicate "to much suds/wrong detergent".
Which leads to excessive suds causing the error code.
The washer should automatically fix after a long repetitive cycle...
Errorcode continually flashes until it fixes the sud issue, which is....
automatically drains, rinses, & repeats... until excess sud nonsense is resolved
**the code will reset after the washer resolved issue
Also [non-spill bleach] can be the cause of your "excess sud" issue.
