The PSP won't show up ( the screen is black)

I was Updating my PSP until the battery died. After charged i turned it on but the screen was still black, even though the power button was working. What does this mean & what should I do????

From Sony, "If the power supply is lost while writing to the system software, the console will no longer be able to operate unless the system is booted in service mode or sent to Sony for repair if still under warranty."

Though technically it shouldn't install unless the battery is at least 75% charged (the system stops that from happening).

Sorry but it sounds like you borked the OS. :(
