Dishwasher timer will not stop

Hi, I am having an issue with my Dishwasher not stopping. It seems to be washing fine but the timer just hits the "off" portion of the cycle and starts the cycle over again. I can hear the timer still ticking even though the cycle is complete.

Any ideas what could cause this. The dishwasher is only about 3 years old.

It's a GE Hotpoint Model hda3600h35bb
