Water damaged Apple Watch--is screen still good?

I have an Apple Watch Series 2. About a year ago I accidentally cracked my screen, so I replaced the screen with one I bought from ebay. Everything was working great till last weekend when I went swimming and forgot to take off the watch.

The screen went blank and the watch was totally unresponsive. I took the watch apart and noticed a little condensation on the inside. I tried to dry it out and put the screen back on but nothing happened.

I was thinking about buying another Series 2 watch with a cracked screen, and attempting to put my old screen on that watch.

Do you think the water damaged the screen, or just the internals of the watch? Is there a way to test the screen to see if it still works? The screen shows no signs of water intrusion.

There's no way to test the screen unless you have a working watch. I usually have to replace screens that have been submerged. The water usually gets behind the back light and causes spots and other faulty issues like touch issues.

mine got water inside via a cracked screen. Is the screen broken or is the battery dead? Do I have to replace the battery or the screen? or anything else inside the watch?
