Won’t turn on anymore

Well long story short my child was playing his 2ds xl and dropped it from about a foot and a half to the ground and since then I can’t get it to turn on anymore. The only thing it will do is the blue light comes on and after about 5 seconds or so you hear a popping noise from the speakers and it powers back off, the screen never lights up or anything. I’ve looked up as much as could find on these new 2 ds xls and have taken both covers off and tried to unplug and plug back in every ribbon cable I could see as well as tried to see if anything else looks damaged and can find nothing. Is there anything else I could try or has anyone else had this problem.

Try opening it at around 40°. If it turns on turn the brightness down to 1... or check the connection for the top screen

It is most likely related to the screen ribbon cables. More specifically I had the exact same issue with the lower screen lcd backlight ribbon cable not making contact with the motherboard. I pushed it back in and it worked fine after that. The ribbon cable is the 4 pin cable right above the circle stick ribbon cable.
