My phone enters low battery mode and turns off

Since last week, my Moto G3 phone started to act weird. At different levels of battery (82%, 85%, 92%), it suddenly enters the low battery mode (orange framing) and immediately turns off. Is there something I could do before declaring this phone "dead" ? Thanks.
