In June 2017 Apple updated its 13" MacBook Air with a newer Broadwell Intel Core i5 processor, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

My keyboard and touchpad stopped working

It was fine all yesterday and then it randomly stopped working. I haven't dropped it, or spilt water on it or anything. It just stoppped working out of the blue , but the power button works which is weird. what should I do? Reset it? Please help!!!!

Try a SMC reset: turn the Mac off and with magsafe plugged in press shift+ctrl+alt+power all together. Charging led should go from amber to green for few seconds then return amber. Hopefully it's just that.

Sorry about that..nothing else I could suggest, probably some hardware issue. Is warranty still in place ?

Just a suggestion, but any Mac that I have problems with during the first year, I take out an additional two years of AppleCare coverage just so I don’t get hit with very expensive repairs the day after the warranty expires.
