Can I order LCD ribbon cable ZIF con

I was trying to replace screen and did not do enough research before I started. Thought it to be no big deal because i replaced my iphone screen so easy. I was wrong. When removing the LCD ribbon cable I broke the socket it fits into, now I feel I'm screwed. What makes me even more stupid is I didn't backup first! Is there a way to replace this part? I have a picture if that helps you vision what i destroyed. Appreciate any help. Thanks

A picture would certainly help but if what I understood from your description is correct, a broken lcd connector on the logic board side, the iPad seems to be in trouble indeed. Replacement requires micro soldering skills and it's not very easy since a lot of pins hide behind delicate plastic. But please post a pic so that we'll be able to share what you see.
