Rear screen is broken.

Rear screen is broken.

There is a 'spiders' web' smash-mark covering the entire screen radiating from a central point, as though it has been hit by a sharp point. Although functions such as zoom still work, there is nothing usefully visible on screen, either in Camera or Review mode, except a narrow strip down the left-hand side.

How can I replace the screen, and how do I purchase one (in the UK)?.

alan there are loads of these on ebay uk currently, I was searching for a different screen... I also found them on alibaba, you may also see that the vendors may list DMC TZ but not the no. you want... keep reading the description and you'll find some are compatible between versions. then you can go back to ebay or use alibaba (which you may have to wait for from hongkong/china or buy more than one, you'll need to negotiate)

Alan, there are just to many steps in telling you how to disassemble your camera. I posted the service manual for you on my file server right here I hope this will help with the replacement. As in where to buy a replacement, I have had poor luck in finding the LCD. There is only one place that I found right here Price is a little steep but it looks like a really nice LCD.
