Regarding the lid on the bottom of the device, it is removable with a phillips screwdriver.

Can i install windows 10?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

You should be able to install Windows 10. Mine has a AMD E2-1800 1.70GHz

Dual Core APU (CPU + GPU) with Winows 8.1 Pro license in the BIOS though I decided to not downgrade or upgrade yet and just installed Lubuntu 18.04 to see how that performed for now. I also made a USB thumb drive with persistence so I can save data in case I need to boot from the USB thumb drive since the laptop came with a 320GB magnetic HD and not a SSD. Figure I'll do the SSD update if and when the magnetic drive fails.

Looks like with my configuration... it can downgrade to Windows 7 Pro and upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.
