Neither screen will turn on, but will hold a charge

I followed the guide to changing the upper LCD screen on my old school DS, but after I finished reconnecting everything and putting it back together it will not boot. It will charge if I plug it in, but if I hit the power button neither screen will flash or turn on and I'll hear it make a sound like it was trying to power on but couldn't. Any ideas on where I messed up here?
