The Comfort Zone CZ6C is a light gray portable desk fan. It has a six inch blade, two speeds, and a hinge mechanism on its neck.

Can I add a drop of oil to small fan motor? Where?

Fan was working fine. Turned it off. Next time I switched it on, it was trying to get up the power to spin the blade, but couldn't quite do it. The blade would move a fraction of an inch, then no more. I cleaned it, but thought a drop of oil might help lubricate it again. Doable? Where to apply the oil?

Took it apart, cleaned dust and debris away. Put single drop of sewing machine oil in back of unit, moved motor shaft around to spread oil. Works better than when it was new!
