Power Adapter Melted Charge Port

I need to replace the charge port. Can I just replace the port itself via soldering? Or do i need to replace the entire daughterboard?

Would it be possible to post a photo of how badly it melted?

@snakes202 sure you could solder a new connector. It will probably be more difficult to find a replacement connector and to solder it to the flex than to replace it.

Replacement is about $10USD at places like this and others.

Good catch, I was under the impression that the phone had touch sensitive keys.
