Unable to hear me unless my phone is on speaker mode

Hi,

Try using the earphones with the microphone attachment when making/receiving calls to check if you can be heard OK.

If you can be heard OK then there is either a problem with the phone's internal microphone or perhaps the phone's voice inlet hole is blocked.

To check if it is the latter use a strong light and a magnifying glass to inspect the hole (found on the bottom edge of the phone) to check that it is not blocked with lint or debris.

If it is or if you can't be sure, use a vacuum cleaner to try and clear the obstruction Use it in short bursts, not long application of the vacuum cleaner.

DO NOT use a pin or probe to try and clear the hole as you may damage the microphone which is directly behind the hole.

If it still fails after this then there is a problem with the phone's internal microphone. it may be faulty or have become disconnected from the systemboard.
