Water damaged Razer blackwidow Ultimate 2016 down aroow

So a few months ago I spilled some soda on my keyboard. I have contacted razer support team and they said your warranty doesn't cover water damage so I took my keyboard apart and dried it with paper towels then let dry in front of a fan for 2 days and all my keys besides the down arrow key.

I tested my switches with a multi-meter and the switch it self seems fine its sending power but it's not sending input to the computer though so I would like to figure out what I can do to fix my down arrow key

i would start by removing the keys, and soak the board in 99% isopropyl, then scrub it with a new toothbrush. this will break away any corrosion, without causing the metals to oxidize. blow dry for a minute, then let sit for 30 minutes. see if that gts you key running. The fact that the switch is working, but the signal wont send means the damage to the trace could be nearly anywhere. finding it would be very difficult.

Do you mean remove the keycaps or the switches them self

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Its alright just wanted to make sure and thanks for the information ill be doing this next weekend when I have time

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

please keep in mind, this is only one possibility.

there is also a likely scenario where the short from the water has fried out a component used to process the signal. cant say without actually trying this first though.
