The fuel bowl on my old onan generator and can't find a replacement. Can I just put a fuel shutoff lever in the line and do away with the bowl all together?

@tiredoldguy if you are talking about the fuel bowl beneath your carburetor then no you can not. If you are not talking about that, you need to give us more information. Start off by telling us the model of your Onan and/or the engine make and model. Post some pictures of your damage etc. with your question so we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.

Yes. The bowl was used to collect debris and could tell you if you have water in the fuel so removing it wont hurt the machine.
