Possible to move just the hard drive

Is it possible to remove the hard drive From one Lenovo G5 80 to another Lenovo G5 80 and still make it work? Kind a like a plug and play . The reason being is the motherboard of one is fried and was trying to salvage the data and the size of the hard drive. Thanks for any suggestions or answers
