Can the 16GB Sandisk SSD be replaced with a 32GB Sandisk SSD?

I was just wondering if the Samsung S Series Chromebook would recognize and accept a 32GB Sandisk SSD in place of the original 16GB Sandisk SSD since they look to be the same size and shape with the same 26 pin slot.
